Our Story
It was a football Saturday at Gallettes when a brown haired girl spied a tall, blonde haired guy walking across the room. Interested, yet unwilling to make the first move Emily Wood passed along her info and waited....and waited....and waited.
A few months later, Jacob finally receives her contact information. Given the amount of time that had passed, he felt a little weird about reaching out, but decided to go for it anyway. So Jacob asked her out on what basically amounted to a blind date.
We met at Bamboo, had drinks at Collins Bar and of no surprise to anyone, talked the night away. Jacob was smitten. Emily Wood needed a little more convincing. He was just "too nice".
Then of course, a global pandemic hit, the world shut down, and nothing was normal anymore. Yet somehow, while Emily Wood was walking to pick up dinner, Jacob was driving to pick up at a restaurant on that same street. He saw Bruce (the poodle), then Emily Wood, and after a moment's consideration, Jacob called out. Two hours later, our dinners were cold, but we had reconnected and made plans (outside of course) for that weekend. From that moment on, our paths were connected.
Whether you believe in fate or not, for us, that one moment on April 9th, 2020 was truly the beginning of everything.
